Buying vehicles and vessels

In the vehicles and vessels category, DRZ sells cars, boats, mopeds, motor scooters, commercial vehicles and defence vehicles, as well as their parts, through an online auction on this website. A new sale with a wide range of goods on offer is held every month. The goods can be found in the online catalogues vehicles ad vessels  (displayed in Dutch).

Viewing goods online

The online catalogues show the goods on offer in this category.

If you want to buy, you may bid online through the catalogues from the start until the close of the auction. The start and closing dates of the auctions are stated on the sales calendar.

Would you like to receive an email alert when the new catalogues are online? Or do you receive email alerts and do you wish to stop receiving them? If you log in to your account, you may tick or untick the box at ‘mailalert’ and click on ‘opslaan’.

Online bidding

If you wish to make a bid in the vehicle or vessel category, you are required to complete a number of steps. You may use a few tools that will be helpful to you in the bidding process. More information is available in the catalogues.
Furthermore, you should be aware of a number of matters concerning bidding and buying.

Creating an account

You need an account to make a bid. If you wish to bid online at DRZ for the first time, please register your details first. Go to ‘Account aanmaken’. You will need your own login details when bidding.

Making a bid

To bid online, you will need to be logged in to your account and view the catalogues.

From the start of the auction at 08.30 a.m. until the close of the sale, the bidding button is visible in every lot in the catalogues. You click on the bidding button if you want to make a bid.
If it is the first bid you make, you will be shown the General Terms and Conditions. You will only be able to enter your bid when you have agreed to them. A bid can only be entered in whole euros.

The bidding overview shows all lots for which you have made bids. Click on ‘Akkoord’ if you agree to all bids listed in the bidding overview.

After you have clicked on ‘Akkoord’, you will be shown your details and you will be able to check them. Please check in particular that your email address is correct. After you have clicked on ‘Verzenden’, a notice will appear that you must confirm your bids through your email.
You will receive a provisional bidding email in your mailbox that contains a link to confirm your bids. Check your bids and the invoice address. Your bids are final when you have clicked on ‘Akkoord’. You will receive a confirmation email.

Viewing your bids

Your confirmed bids are stored in your account under the option ‘Mijn bevestigde biedingen’. You can view the bids there for four weeks.
Bids you have not yet completed are included in ‘Mijn openstaande biedingen’.

Notification of your bid

After the close of a sale, the results of the auction are posted on this website in the course of the next day.
If you wish to receive an alert when the results are available on this website, you may subscribe to the email alert by ticking ‘mailalert’ in your account.

You will receive a notice only when goods are awarded to you. In that case, you will receive the invoice by email on the day of the close. The goods must then be picked up in the next week (following payment). The invoice will state how you may schedule an appointment to pick up the goods.

In one or two cases, goods are not awarded. There may be different reasons for this. For instance, the Public Prosecution Service may decide at the very last moment that, in connection with an ongoing investigation, it does not wish to sell a person’s property at this stage after all.
The reason in a specific case is not communicated. The goods involved may be offered at a later auction.

Payment of purchased goods

If any goods have been awarded to you, you will receive an invoice by email. The invoice will state your payment options. The invoice will also include a code that you must use to schedule an appointment in the digital appointment calendar. You may do so after DRZ has processed your payment. Scheduling an appointment is mandatory; goods cannot be picked up without an appointment.

Payment methods

You have two options when paying your invoice. Payment is fast and easy through iDEAL. The invoice will include a direct link to iDEAL. If you wish to transfer the amount, you may do so. You will then transfer the amount to IBAN number NL39 INGB 0705 0031 75, stating your payment reference and customer number. You will receive a payment confirmation by email when your payment has been processed.
Transfers are subject to a slightly longer processing period than payments made through iDEAL.

Scheduling a pick-up appointment

You pick up your goods at the location stated on your invoice. Scheduling an appointment for picking up goods is mandatory. You can only schedule an appointment when you have paid for your goods.
You must use the digital appointment calendar for scheduling an appointment and for picking up goods at the DRZ locations of Soesterberg, Bleiswijk and Hoogeveen. Your invoice will include a code for scheduling the appointment. You must schedule an appointment by telephone for picking up goods at another location. Please call +31 (0)88-1500900 (open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

You must bring the invoice to your appointment.

If you have received a code for scheduling an appointment, please go to the appointment calendar .

Costs for late pick-up/non-pick-up

If goods are not picked up in the collection period after the auction, DRZ will charge costs for late pick-up. The goods may then be picked up for another week. You will pay 25 euros per working day per awarded item as from the Monday after the collection period. If you pick up your goods in the week after the collection period, you will pay these costs at the desk by PIN payment. Paying these costs in cash is not possible.

If you still fail to pick up the goods after this extra collection period, the sale will be terminated. In that case, you will not be entitled to the goods any longer. In the case of goods from the Sale at registration, you pay compensation of €250 for the additional expenses incurred.

If any goods from the sale by auction are involved, you will be held liable for the additional costs incurred and for the amount that the goods fetch less at the next auction.
